24 PoE++ Ports with 1440W Budget

All 24 rear-facing Gigabit RJ45 ports are PoE++ compliant (802.3bt Type 4), each delivering up to 60W of power — double the output of standard PoE+ ports. With a 1440W total power budget, this switch can simultaneously power a full rack of high-draw AV devices without compromise. Four 1G SFP uplink slots provide fiber connectivity to upstream switches or distribution layers, and two additional Gigabit RJ45 LAN ports offer further integration flexibility. Auto-Trunk and Auto-LAG functionality automatically links M4250 and M4300 series switches for streamlined multi-switch deployments.

Pre-Configured for AV over IP

Built-in Netgear IGMP Plus™ enables instant multicast functionality for most AV over IP installations without additional configuration. The dedicated AV web-based interface uses color-coded, port-based profiles to make assigning configurations straightforward for AV professionals. Video profiles for NVX, SVSI, Q-SYS, and Dante can be assigned to ports as needed, and audio profiles for Dante and AES67 are available out of the box. Audio Video Bridging (AVB) is supported via firmware update for deployments requiring very low latency.

60 Gb/s Switching with Quad-Core CPU

A quad-core 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A57 CPU drives a 60 Gb/s switching bandwidth and 44.64 Mpps forwarding rate. With a 16 Mb packet buffer, 16K MAC address table, and jumbo frame support up to 12,000 bytes, the switch handles dense multi-stream AV workloads reliably. Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching supports static routing, RIP, PIM, and PTPv2 alongside standard protocols including DHCP Server, IGMP Snooping, IPv4, IPv6, Link Aggregation, and Port Mirroring.

Flexible Rack Mounting and Management

The 1U chassis is 7.9" deep with all ports rear-facing for clean cable management in AV racks. Standard and recessed mounting brackets are included, and outside-rack mounting is supported via bottom M5 and front M10 threaded holes. Management is available via the built-in AV web GUI, IT web GUI, console, Telnet, and SSH. Two USB-C management ports and one USB-A port provide direct console access. Security features include DHCP Snooping, DoS Attack Prevention, RADIUS Authentication, and Storm Control.
