Blackmagic Design Videohub Mini 4x2 12G Router

The Blackmagic Design Videohub Mini 4x2 12G Router delivers ultracompact, one-third rack width flexibility for live production. It features four 12G-SDI inputs, four 12G-SDI loop outputs, and two 12G-SDI outputs on the back panel. Front panel controls, including push buttons and a knob, allow direct routing, while Ethernet connectivity enables automated routing functions. The front panel also includes a 12G-SDI input and a USB-C output that override the back panel ports for on-the-fly source routing. USB-C output functions as a webcam, allowing direct streaming. Clean switch functionality is applied to outputs, enabling the same source to route to multiple outputs while maintaining stable transitions.

Streamlined Cable Connections

The Videohub Mini 4x2 adds extra SDI inputs for ATEM switchers, streaming encoders, HyperDeck recorders, or video monitors without taking up significant rack space. Front panel SDI connections provide fast access for emergency or temporary setups, eliminating the need to access rear connections in critical moments.

Front Panel Router Control & Video Patching

Front panel buttons provide fast cut-bus-style switching. Select the destination button, then the source button to route video. Front panel SDI input overrides the highest rear input. The USB-C webcam output allows connection to computers for recording, monitoring, or streaming.

Advanced 12G-SDI Connections

Supports multirate 12G-SDI, compatible with SD, HD, and UHD formats up to 2160p60. Connect SD, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI, and 12G-SDI equipment simultaneously. Output standards automatically adjust based on the input, allowing multiple video formats on the same router.

Clean Switch on Each Video Output

Each output features a "clean switch" function for seamless transitions between sources. This output-based design prevents extra frames from being inserted during switching, ensuring clean output for monitors, recorders, or streaming encoders. Clean switch locks sources to input one.

Full SDI Re-Clocking

Every 12G-SDI input includes SDI re-clocking, regenerating video signals to maintain signal integrity over long cable runs. This prevents video dropouts and ensures high-quality video even over extended distances.

Front Panel Emergency Patch Connections

Front-facing 12G-SDI patch connectors provide easy emergency access. Front input overrides the highest-numbered rear input, ensuring uninterrupted routing without having to access the back of the rack.

USB Webcam Output

USB-C output functions as a 1080p HD webcam source, compatible with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, OBS, and XSplit. UHD sources are down-converted for full software compatibility.

Remote or Hardware Control

Control the router with Videohub Software or a Master Control Pro panel. Developers can use the included SDK to automate routing and integrate with existing workflows.

Redundant Power Supply

Power the router via the built-in AC supply or a 12V DC source for reliable, flexible operation in any studio environment.
